Betty and Henry Coursey, former Fort Lupton residents, will be returning briefly to celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary.
An open house will be from 2 to 4 p.m., June 5, at the fire department, 1121 N. Denver Ave., Fort Lupton. Their four children – George Coursey, Linda Johnson, Richard Coursey, and Patricia Hinds – are the hosts and hostesses.
Betty Ruth Marlow of Hudson married Henry Woodrow Coursey of Denver June 1, 1941. They raised their five children: James LeRoy, George Edward, Linda Lee, Richard Henry and Patricia Kae. Other than a time when Henry served in the U.S. Army during World War II when they lived in Oregon, the Courseys lived in the Fort Lupton/ Brighton area until they moved to Missouri in 1971.
They owned and operated Coursey’s Cleaners from 1960 until 1971. In addition to their children, Betty and Henry also have seven grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, several step-great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Betty, Henry and their children invite you to come by and say “hello” during the open house.
