Renovations to Aims Community College’s Fort Lupton campus scheduled through June

By Gene Sears

Aims Community College is expanding its Fort Lupton campus, including a new building that will house classrooms and labs for new degree programs in oil and gas technology and agriculture technology, and renovations to the existing Prairie Building on campus.
Trailers will be parked on the Aims site through June to house equipment and furniture from the building.     “There will be two to four trailers on campus at any given time,” said Michael Millsapps, Director of Facilities and Operations at Aims. “The sole purpose of these trailers is to support the contents of the Prairie Building during the renovation.”
Aims broke ground for the expansion in Fort Lupton in November. The $10-million investment will provide classrooms and labs for new degree programs in oil and gas technology and agriculture technology, as well as space for community use.
The project is scheduled to be complete by fall 2013.
