The Fort Lupton Optimist Club is looking for Angels who will provide gifts for children of less fortunate families in our community.
The Angel Tree project will be starting Nov. 22. The Angel Trees will be located at the Fort Lupton Recreation Center, 203 Harrison Ave., and the Fort Lupton Public and School Library, 425 S. Denver Ave., as well as Fort Lupton Pack and Ship, 810 21st St.
To participate in the project, stop by the Recreation Center, the library or pack and ship and select an Angel from the tree. It will have the gender and age of a local youngster and in some cases a suggested gift. Then buy a gift appropriate for the child and return the Angel and the gift by Dec. 11 to the location where you picked up the angel. Please do not wrap the gifts.
The Optimist club members will collect the gifts and they will be distributed to children in the Fort Lupton community who otherwise would not enjoy a Christmas present. For more information, call Steve at 303-857-9439 or Dennis at 303-857-2216.
