FORT LUPTON — Halliburton donated $10,000 to the Aims Community College Foundation to help fund an annual scholarship program for the college.
The scholarship will go toward the new oil and gas programs at the college.
In a press release, the foundation thanked Halliburton for its donation.
“The Aims Community College Foundation is honored to accept the support of another industry leader conducting business in the Ft. Lupton area as we launch our new Oil and Gas Program,” the statement read. “The Oil and Gas program is designed to train students in new oil and gas technologies and solid foundational skills.”
The expanded course offering has already drawn support from other companies, which included a donation from Leed Fabrication in November for a new welding lab at the Fort Lupton Campus.
Housed at the Fort Lupton Aims Campus, the Oil and Gas program offers an Associates degree in Applied Sciences and certificates in Oil and Gas Technologies and Oil and Gas Production Technologies.
